We've just driven home from a relaxing weekend away in Filey and Whitby and I thought I'd whack a blog post up as soon as I got in.
On Saturday we spent the day strolling the streets of Whitby and window shopping... or maybe just shopping and also stopped for some brunch in The Blitz. We stepped into a gorgeous shop, Baytree Interiors (@baytree_interiors), who were celebrating their 10th birthday and giving out glasses of prosecco, as well as tasty nibbles. They currently have 10% off their website, and their homeware is amazing. Later that day, we grabbed some fish and chips and then headed back to the AirBnb to watch Love Actually with blankets and chocolate.
Sunday was spent walking the length of Filey Beach and eating more fish and chips...
It's important to take breaks in life, even if it's just a weekend and not necessarily a whole week off work, and it's even more important to spend it with the people who matter most to you.
I'm looking forward to visiting York at the end of the month to do more Christmas shopping and to also visit the York Christmas Market!
